A traditional wooden Hopi Kachina doll by Native American artist Tayron Polequaptewa. The carved and painted figure is depicted wearing a feathered mask and headdress with large eyes and protruding teeth. The figure is adorned with a sash of shells and shown holding a feathered object with leather tassels to one end. The piece is marked ‘5 01 Tayron Polequaptewa’ in black pen to the underside of the feet.
