**REWORK**Hand-Knotted Indian "Bijar" Wool Area Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted Indian ‘Bijar’ wool area rug. The rug has been woven in shades of crimson, ivory, pine, camel, sky blue, and midnight. A large lobed pendant medallion is surrounded by an overall herati pattern. The spandrels are infilled with floral motifs. The compound border incorporates paired carnation and meander minor bands with a samovar primary band. The selvedges have been overcast and there is fringe at each end . A tag, in German, is attached to the underside and identifies the country of origin as India.
