A Japanese ukiyo-e woodblock print after Katsushika Hokusai’s (葛飾北斎, circa 1760-1849) South Wind, Clear Sky from the series Thirty-six Views of Mount Fuji. The print was likely made circa the early 20th century. Also known as Red Fuji the work depicts Mount Fuji against a cloudy sky. It is marked in plate in Japanese to the upper left and marked with chops to the lower right. The piece is presented matted in a painted black wood frame under glass.
