Hand-Knotted Sino-Persian Wool Accent Rug
Item Details
A vintage hand-knotted Sino-Persian wool accent rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of ivory, sapphire, wheat, powder blue, madder red, sage, mocha, and peach. The ivory colored field begins with a pendant medallion, along with an abundance of flowering vines, and sprays throughout, as well as wheat grounded spandrels. Framing the field is a main sapphire grounded border with bands of powder blue, designed with coordinating floral motifs. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a cotton kilim skirt with cotton warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled. Please see 18CHI122-200 for a companion item.
