A mid-century oil painting on canvas created by listed artist Johan Gustav Fenger (Danish; 1887 – 1975). The Post Impressionist-inspired work depicts a still life scene, with a group of chrysanthemums arranged in a red Danish Modern style vase set upon a blue tabletop. The work is signed ‘Fenger’ to the lower right. It is presented without glass in a gold tone wooden frame fitted with hanging string to the verso.

Condition

- to poor; significant craquelure, media loss, chipping and wear throughout composition; discoloration and toning to image; scuffs, scratches and wear to frame; no backing paper present; toning to canvas verso.
