An antique ink drawing on paper by listed Danish artist Christian Rudolph Vogelsang (1824-1911) titled Karen Hansen. This piece depicts a woman in traditional Dutch dress seated on a rock in a field with a basket at her feet, rendered in thin linework with minimal hatched shading. The piece is signed to the lower center and titled to the lower right. The drawing is presented behind a mat and glass in a gold tone wood frame with string to the verso for hanging. It is additionally labeled to the verso with the artist’s name.

Condition

- minor discoloration to paper; abrasion to upper left corner of paper; surface wear to frame.
