A mid-century oil painting on canvas created by listed artist Eiler Steffensen (Danish; 1884 – 1964). The piece depicts a pastoral Danish landscape scene, with a man driving an ox-driven cart down a winding country road, set between green fields, against a backdrop of a glistening blue waterfront. The work is signed to the lower right. It is presented without glass in a gold tone wooden frame with moulded embellishments, fitted with hanging wire to the verso.

- surface wear, marks and media loss to composition; discoloration, toning and stains to composition and canvas verso; wear and scuffing to frame, with chips to gesso; loose joints to frame; no backing paper present.
