A vintage hand-knotted Persian Serapi Heriz area rug. This rug features central lozenge medallions with rectilinear palmettes and leaves in a palette or madder red, deep blue, ivory, pale blue, hazelnut, mocha, pale pink, and olive. It has a main samovar border with meandering floral guard borders. Finished with double overcast edges and natural warp fringe. ‘Made in Iran’ label to the reverse.
