Hand-Knotted Chinese Wool and Silk Area Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted Chinese area rug. This silk and wool pile rug is rendered in a palette of eggshell, blush, mauve, cranberry, sage, and camel and features an allover field pattern of arabesqued vines, foliage, and rose blossoms. The rectangular field is framed by a single border comprised of a stylized floral meander over blush. It is finished with overcast selvedges and wool and silk warp fringe. A label to the reverse reads ‘Hand Knotted in China’.
