A vintage hand-painted Japanese hanging scroll. The painting features a minimalist seaside landscape painted in muted shades of gray, brown, and white on a cream-toned paper mounted to a floral-patterned golden-beige silk brocade backing. The painting has several calligraphic characters written to both its top and bottom edges, and has a red artist’s seal stamped to the lower left. An acrylic dowel is attached to the lower edge to weight it during hanging, and a tie is attached to the upper edge.

- light yellowing and creasing across.
