A signed architectural watercolor by William Neale (English, b. 1941). The work depicts The Grand Staircase of the Palais Garnier, the famous French Opera House, with broad marble steps and columnar figural candelabra lighting the interior. The watercolor is rendered in subtle shades of gray lavender, gold, dark gray and off white. The work is signed to the lower right corner and displayed under glass in a beveled gilded wood frame with brown linen mat and gilded filet.
