Hand-Painted Herend "Rothschild Bird" Honey Pot and Vintage Coaster

A pairing of Herend Rothschild Bird tableware including a covered honey pot and a vintage coaster. The hand-painted pieces feature colorful birds resting on flowering branches to the white ground with thick gilt edges and a molded floral finial to the lid of the pot. The coaster bears a mark used before 1948 while the pot is marked ‘Herend Hungary’ to the underside.
