Vintage Tufted and Carved Berven Hong Kong Wool Area Rug
Item Details
A vintage tufted and carved area rug made in Hong Kong by Berven Carpets. This plush, bright wool-pile rug is rendered in a mid-century palette of cornsilk, ochre, azure, olive, shades of blue and shades of pink. It features a floral design beginning with an oval medallion over an open cornsilk field garlanded on the outer edges by flowers and looping vines. Framing the field is a wide floral and foliate broken border grounded in deep ochre. The outer border is cornsilk. Edges are serged on all sides under strips of burlap. A label on the reverse reads ‘Berven.’
