Vintage Chippendale Style Mahogany Dining Set
Item Details
A vintage Chippendale style mahogany dining set, including dining table with two leaves, two armchairs, and four side chairs. The dining table features a rectangular top with rounded corners over two four lyre-shaped trestles, each atop two fluted, splayed legs with brass paw feet. The center two trestles are joined by turned stretchers. Two extension leaves are included. The chairs include shaped crest rails, pierced vasiform splats, padded and upholstered seats, and cabriole front legs with acanthus carved knees and claw-and-ball feet. The seats are upholstered in a multicolor striped fabric with brass-toned nailhead trim. There are no visible maker’s marks.
