A hand-knotted Persian Lori Pambak Kazak area rug. This rug features a wool pile with a cotton and goat hair foundation, and it is rendered in an abrash palette of crimson, carnation, wine, navy blue, taupe, and black. The crimson hued field features three stylized hooked medallions each infilled with floral motifs, while enclosed by notched edges with eight pointed star motifs and smaller medallions to each corner. Framing the field is a navy blue grounded main rosette border, along with a pair of floral meander guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a cotton warp fringe to the ends. It is unlabeled.
