A finely hand-knotted Sino-Persian silk accent rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of apricot, cornsilk, ivory, ice blue, olive, slate blue, and charcoal. The apricot colored field begins with a lobed pendant medallion that coordinates with the ice blue and ivory grounded spandrels. The field features palmettes, and serrated leafy and flowering vines. Framing the field is a main cornsilk grounded floral, palmette, and leaf designed border, as well as floral meander guard borders. Finishing this rug are overcast selvedges and a silk warp fringe to the ends. This rug is labeled ‘Made in China’.
