A vintage hand-knotted Persian Bijar carpet runner. Featured is a wool pile rug worked in a palette of golf, crimson, wine, blush, emerald, sage, sapphire, and eggshell and centered by a floral medallion. The crimson field is densely populated with a stylized herati pattern and framed with carnation meander guard borders, while the primary border consists of a resolved chain of rosettes over sapphire. The rug is finished with overcast selvedges and wool warp fringe, showing likely prior restoration or repair. It is unlabeled.
