A Howard Miller Benjamin grandfather clock. A 77th-anniversary edition clock that has a Windsor cherry finish on a wood case with an elegant brass tone clock and a moon phase dial. The case has swan pediments with an urn finial and carved shell overlay with glass side panels and reeded wood side columns with turned capitals. The case features a beveled glass on the front door that displays a silvertone dial with raised brass Arabic numbers and serpentine hands with three key arbors. The dial surrounds an embossed brass center and is accented with brass spandrels with a functional astrological moon phase dial above. Other features of the clock include an embossed brass lyre pendulum with cylinder style weights, a German Kieninger cable drivien movement with Westminster chimes and a chime silence lever. The case is illuminated on the interior with a mirrored back and stands on a cut-out style plinth base with bracket feet. The clock is marked ‘Howard Miller’ on the dial and door.
