World War II Uniforms of 132nd Ordinance Company, Technical Sgt Earl Schmalz

A collection of WWII uniforms belonging to Technical Sergeant Earl Schmalz. The collection features a US Army issue wool shirt with Technical Sgt. sleeve insignia; ‘Ike’ jacket with rank insignia, Honorable Discharge Emblem, Enlistment & Overseas Service Stripes, Ninth Army patch, and 104th Infantry ‘Timberwolf Division’ patch; and M43 field jacket. The collection is accompanied by a vintage garment bag and men’s topcoat made by Burkhardt’s of Cincinnati.
In 1942 Earl A. Schmalz was drafted into the United States Army. He served as Technical Sergeant with the 132nd Ordnance Medium Maintenance Company during the European theatre of World War II. TSgt. Schmalz was a University of Cincinnati graduate and honored WWII veteran.
