Item Details
An antique mahogany, cherry, and string-inlaid bowfront shaving stand, early to mid 19th century. The mahogany-veneered case features a rectangular top with a bowed, front edge backed by a rectangular, swiveling mirror in cherry veneers. There is a single, dovetailed drawer with brass knobs and pine linings and the stand rises on cherry, ogee bracket feet.

- mirror frame with slight joint separations at upper, right and lower, left corners; bottom of left support post with a small crack; top of case with some small stains/marks; case missing a portion of stringing above drawer; other minor surface wear as would be expected with age and use.
