Item Details

An antique Classical mahogany and reverse-painted mirror, circa 1830. The veneered frame features a breakfront cornice with acorn drops above a reverse-painted tablet and a rectangular, mirror plate. The tablet depicts a steamship flying an American flag, and it is flanked by a pair of ring-turned and foliate-carved pilasters applied to the frame’s stiles.

Condition

- to fair; cornice is missing one acorn pendant; scattered/tiny losses to reverse-painted decoration.
