Item Details
An antique transitional Empire-to-Victorian mahogany dresser with a mirror, mid 19th century. The case features a rectangular top backed by an oval, tilting mirror and a rear gallery above two aligned and dovetailed, ogee-molded frieze drawers over three graduated, long drawers. The fronts of the flame-veneered, long drawers are fitted with wooden knobs before poplar linings and the chest rises on curved, stile legs with a cutout, front apron and sides.

Condition
- wishbone mirror support is missing right finial; top of chest with some finish losses and marks/stains; right side panel with some drip marks; left side panel with a shrinkage crack, which has been reinforced on the interior of the case with later blocks; top long drawer missing interior lock plate; comes with a key which works on two of the drawers; other minor surface wear and imperfections as would be expected with age and use.
