1940s Signed Hand Decorated Child's Chair with Woven Rush Seat

A 1940s signed hand decorated child’s chair with a woven rush seat. The chair has been painted black with muted gold accents throughout and in design to the stiles and front rail of the seat, featuring a design to the splat that includes a little girl and two lambs with a flowering botanical frame. The chair is styled with a turned top rail, wide back splat, turned legs with ball feet, turned front stretcher, double dowel supports to the sides and single to the back. It is signed to the back splat ‘Patricia from G.M’ and ‘Henrietta Bell of Boston 1948’ to the side.
