A vintage spelter bust sculpture titled Circe after French artist Emmanuel Villains. Circe is known as the Greek mythological goddess of Magic. It is marked Circe along the base, with no signature. Sculptor Emmanuel Villains (French 1858 -1914) is considered one of the most influential artists during the Art Nouveau period.

Condition

- residue in crevasses of sculpture and along cheeks; scuff marks and wear to patina at top of hair, on front of garment, along bottom of base; surface abrasions throughout bottom of base; crack along verso of neck.
