A vintage hand-knotted Persian mir Seraband area rug. This wool pile rug is rendered in a palette of madder red, goldenrod, indigo, cornflower, sage, blush, and ivory and features an all over lattice of boteh motifs to the field. It is framed by several narrow guard borders comprised of geometric patterns, while the primary border displays a stylized seraband design over ivory. The rug is finished with overcast selvedges, a short kilim skirt, and cotton warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
