A hand-knotted Persian Isfahan style area rug. This rug features a cranberry field, with shah abbasi palmettes and purling vines in hues of pale blue, warm pink, beige, ivory, brown, pale mint green, and forest green. It has a main border with oversized palmettes, lancet leaves, and floral vines, flanked by leaf and palmette guard borders, leading to overcast selvedges. The rug is finished in kilim stripes with natural cotton warp fringe.
