A semi-antique hand-knotted Persian Bakhtiari rug. This rug features a variety of abstract and organic-inspired motifs arranged in a grid to the center field in a color palette of cobalt, cherry, puce, coffee, cream, and stone grey. The field is bound on four sides by a minor border with an abstract pattern, followed by an unresolved principal border containing a floral pattern integrating the rug’s color palette. The rug is finished with a single-wrapped selvedge to both sides and a natural warp fringe to both ends.
