A hand-knotted Bakhshayesh Heriz wool area rug. This rug features a central medallion in a white, cream, grey-blue, black, raspberry, brown, and olive with stylized palmettes and floral vines. The main border consists of a samovar motif, flanked by meandering floral guard stripes. The rug is finished in kilim stripes with natural warp fringe to either end and overcast selvedges.
