Item Details
A power-loomed Karastan Antique Tabriz wool room sized rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of ivory, terracotta, taupe, burnt orange, powder blue, olive, and wheat. The ivory colored field features an allover design of scrolling flowering vines interspersed with palmettes and cloud band elements. Framing the field is a main stylized herati border, along with palmette and boteh designed guard borders, and floral meander minor borders. Finishing this rug are serged edges and an applied fringe to the ends. The underside is labeled ‘Woven in the U.S.A.’.
