A collection of restrike engravings thought to date to the 19th century. The works include: an engraving on laid paper from Opuscula omnia Actis eruditorum Lipsiensibus depicting Egyptian hieroglyphs; an engraving on laid paper by Gaspar Massi (18th century) depicting a coin medal of Anton Maria Salviati (1659-1723), Duke of Giuliano and Colleferro with a bust portrait to the obverse and a collection of armor and a banner with the Medici coat of arms to the reverse; an engraving on laid paper depicting a coin medal of Frederick the Great (Frederick II of Prussia, 1712-1786); an engraving on laid paper after a drawing by John Talman published by the Society of Antiquaries of London that depicts a bronze lamp excavated from St. Leonard’s Hill near Windsor; an engraving on wove paper signed in plate ‘Basive’ depicting a monument with the inscription ‘Insignia hoec Refectaet Decorala, Johanne Haroles Armig, Solicitat General Thesaurario’.

Condition

- discoloration to paper with stain across one print; marks to and wear to edges and margins; tears to corners of largest print.
