An original oil on canvas landscape by listed American artist William Wright (b. 1890). The image depicts a tranquil lake with surrounding woods during the peak of the fall season. A lone mallard creates ringlets on the mirrored lake surface. A single cottage is seen through the foliage on the far shore. It is signed to the lower right of the canvas and presented in a wooden frame with gilt finish. A hanging wire is attached to the verso. This is a large painting that may require assistance in moving.
