An antique silver plate pickle castor by the Meriden Britannia Company. The castor features an arched handle, a support for included tongs, a removable finial topped lid, and a pressed glass pickle jar with an embossed illustration of a farmhouse. It is hallmarked to its underside and additionally marked with pattern number 143.
