Item Details
A power-loomed Persian Bakhtiari-style area rug. This rug is rendered in a palette of carnation. ivory, celedon, mocha, ochre, sky blue, fern, walnut, and wheat. The rectangular paneled field features an array of tree, floral, and animal motifs depicting the four seasons, while framed in floral designed borders with intersecting round medallions. Framing the field as a whole is a main celedon grounded border patterned with trees, animals, floral, and foliate motifs, as well as a pair of floral and foliate guard borders. Finishing this rug are wrapped selvedges and an applied fringe to the ends. This rug is unlabeled.
