Antique Henry Winkles Engraving After Works by Johann Georg Heck

Framed original 19th century engraving by Henry Winkles after artist Johann Georg Heck. This detailed work features seven multi-panel architectural scenes of what appears to be an exotic temple complex. Winkles’ name is printed in the bottom right corner and Heck’s name is printed in the bottom left corner. Each image is numbered underneath. Top left corner reads ‘VII’; top center ‘Taf. 1’ and top right ‘B.2.’ Color of the ink is not quite black; it has a slightly brownish hue somewhat like sepia. Paper covering to back of frame.
Condition
Small areas of brown staining to upper right image and border. Off white matte has a few light scuff marks. Frame has light surface scratches and an area of heavier scratches near upper left corner.
