A grouping of three vintage political cartoon drawings. One cartoon is collaged with a section of a newspaper and reads ‘What so Proudly we Hail’. It is marked to the lower left by Tony Auth for the Philadelphia Inquirer: ‘8-16-89. The Phila. Inquirer. Universal Press Synd.’ One reads ‘The New Supreme Court Robes’ and is dated 1991 for the Philadelphia Daily News to the lower right by Pulitzer Prize winner Signe Wilkinson. The last drawing is signed by Brian Basset to the upper left and dated 1991 for The Seattle Times. The drawings are presented beneath mats.

Condition

- white out and graphite still present on one ground; graphite still present on one ground; toning on one ground; foxing at lower right on one ground; matting loose on each item; smudges throughout both white mat boards; no protective frames; wear to labels on verso of each item.
