Towle "Fontana" Sterling Silver Flatware in Case Plus Carvel Hall Carving Set

A set of sterling silver flatware in storage chest by Towle in the the Robert J. King-designed Fontana pattern, first introduced in 1957, which features a shaped handle with scrolled edges. Also included is a Carvel Hall stainless steel carving set. There are fifty-two pieces of sterling flatware, including eight place settings with knives, forks, salad forks, teaspoons and soup spoons, plus eight additional teaspoons, a gravy ladle, cold meat fork, pastry server and sugar spoon. The flatware is housed in a Eureka Pacific wood and brass storage chest with hinged lid and drawer beneath. The total approximate weight of the flatware, excluding the knives and pastry server with stainless steel blades, is 54.970 ozt. The vintage Carvel Hall carving set appears unused, and includes a serrated knife, two-tine fork and two carving knives.
