Item Details
This is an original oil on canvas of a winter scene of the Alaskan wilderness. It is signed ‘J. Helding.’ This charming piece, somewhat naive, depicts a dog sled team harnessed and waiting patiently for their master to emerge from a snow covered cabin in the mid-ground. Tall mountain peaks and conifers fill the background. It reminds one of a wintery Christmas in a simpler time. It is nicely mounted in a wide parcel gilt wooden molding frame with a linen inset panel.
