Antique World War One Commemorative Teacups Featuring KPM
Item Details
A group of three World War One commemorative teacups. Offered are two Konigliche Porzellan Manufacktur teacups decorated with Kaiser Whilelm II iron cross motifs. One is presented against a yellow glazed ground with a laurel leaf border and gilt trim, while the other features a gilt laurel wreath and band with a grey ground and gilt trim. The yellow cup has a swan neck gilded handle, while the grey is scrolled. The pieces are marked “KPM” with orb and scepter mark, black iron cross and blue maker’s mark to the underside, placing production between 1914-1918. The selection rounds off with a cup featuring a black iron cross with a laurel wreath on a white glazed ground and gilt trim. No discernible maker’s marks are noted for this piece.
