WWI Era German War Flag Porcelain Egg Trinket Box
Item Details
An antique World War I era German porcelain trinket box. This piece has an egg shape and features a depiction of the Germany Kriegsflagge or War Flag on the lid, surrounded by wreath of green foliate, berries, and acorns, connected at the base by a red and black ribbon. There is a ring of black around the lid and a red rim to the base. The underused is stamped with an unidentified maker’s mark of ‘GSD’, incised with the number 2016, and hand marked, ‘1248.04.03’.
