WWI Era German Paul von Hindenburg Porcelain Egg Trinket Box

Item Details

An antique German porcelain trinket box from World War I. This piece has an egg shape and features a young depiction of field marshal, Paul von Hindenburg on the lid, surrounded by an oval laurel leaf frame, oak leaves, and flags, as well as an Iron Cross. Around the lid and rim of the base is a gilt laurel leaf and ribbon design. The box rests on a scalloped base, hand marked on the underside with the number 1121.05.12 and incised ‘1373’.
