Hand-Knotted Turkish Wool Area Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted Turkish wool area rug. The carpet has been worked in shades of ivory, avocado, salmon, celery, maize, wine, and charcoal. The field features a pattern of guls and cruciform devices in a tightly latticed design. The compound borders incorporate multiple bands of geometric and floral motifs and plain and soldier borders. The selvedges have multiple overcasts and there is fringe at each end. The rug is not marked.
