An oil painting on canvas by French artist Nelly Dax (born 1928). This piece depicts a girl with dark hair, a round face, and large brown eyes. She is painted with blended brushstrokes over a looser, gestural background of a town square. The piece is signed to the upper right as well as to the verso, and it is presented in a gold tone painted wood frame with a fabric liner and wire to the verso for hanging.

Condition

- some scuffing around the image area creating image loss; nicks and scratches around the frame; gold paint flaking off the wood frame; paper backing is torn.
