A vintage hand-knotted Persian Kashan room size rug. This rug features a red medallion with pendants, in a palette of ivory, bright powder blue, bold pink, avocado green, golden yellow, and deep blue, against a deep blue field, filled with palmettes, florets and leaves. A main border with palmettes is flanked by guard stripes in floral meander patterns and overcast selvedges finish the rug with natural warp fringe to either end. Marked with a ‘Made in Iran’ label to the reverse.
