Hand-Knotted Persian Mehriban Wool Accent Rug
Item Details
A hand-knotted Persian Mehriban wool accent rug. The carpet has been worked in abrashed shades of rose, cream, wine, indigo, robin’s egg blue, coral, emerald, petal, charcoal, and midnight. The field is infilled with a symmetrical design that includes a central element surrounded by blossoms, curving stems, and vines. The compound borders include minor sawtooth and diamond bands and a poppy and meander primary band. The selvedges are finished by hand and there is abbreviated fringe at each end. The rug is marked with fabric tags, ‘Made in Iran’.
