Hand-Knotted Seraband Wool Palace Runner
Item Details
A hand-knotted Seraband palace runner. This plush wool rug, attributed to Indian weavers, features a Serabend-style design incorporating a dense field of boteh in peach, midnight blue, azure and ivory over a ruby field. The field is framed by six borders, including a Serabend meander border over cream with minor borders over midnight blue. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing at each end with a tan kilim skirt and decoratively knotted wool warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
