A hand-hooked carpet runner made in China for Claire Murray. This wool rug features a garden design in a palette of onyx, sky blue, rose, blush, shades of green, teal and cream. It begins with six clusters of flowering plants over an onyx field, which is framed by a checkered inner border and an outer border featuring a pattern of meandering vines and leaves. Edges are serged on all sides. A Claire Murray label on the reverse reads, in part, ‘Heirloom Quality Hand-Hooked Rugs. 100% Wool.’
