A vintage hand-knotted Persian Lilihan Sarouk runner. This rug features a carmine-red field ornamented with intricate patterning along the center field in ecru, coffee brown, deep teal, and stone grey, which is bound by a series of saw tooth crenelations forming the rug’s corner spandrels containing floral motifs. The rug has a repeating floral pattern to the principal border, which is flanked by three distinct geometric patterned minor borders, each of which employs the rug’s color palette. The rug is finished with a single-wrapped selvedge to both sides and a natural warp fringe to both ends.
