Vintage Hand-Knotted Persian Area Rug
Item Details
A vintage hand-knotted Persian area rug. This wool rug is rendered in an abrashed palette of camel, scarlet, pink, sage, teal and midnight blue. It features an allover floral design highlighted by large tripartite motifs grounded in camel over a scarlet field. The field is framed by seven borders, including an unresolved turtle main border grounded in midnight blue, featuring meandering palmettes. Selvedges are overcast, the rug finishing at each end with short wool warp fringe. It is unlabeled.
