An oil painting on canvas titled Warehouse by Cincinnati artist Robert Herrmann (American, 1922-1996), executed in 1956. This work features a truncated view from inside a warehouse with stocked shelves to the right and large windows looking out to geometric industrial buildings. The work exhibits the artist’s signature style with hard-edge simplified shapes and flat planes of vibrant colors. The composition is signed, titled, and dated to the verso. It remains unframed. Included are two exhibition catalogs from Cincinnati Art Galleries, LLC., copyrighted 2002 and 2004.

Robert Herrmann acquired his formal artistic and architectural training at the University of Cincinnati, University of Wisconsin, Ohio State University, University of Iowa, and Columbia University.
