An Italian Rococo style gilt metal and marble clock garniture set by Brevettato. The gilt-metal and white-marble clock features an urn finial above a lyre-form body centered by a round, porcelain dial with black, Roman numeral markers. It reads ‘Imperial / Made Italy’ on the front while the time-and-strike movement is stamped ‘FHS / Germany / 83 / 130-070’ for Franz Hermle. The dial is flanked by a pair of bronze-tone satyrs holding a floral swag and the clock rises on a drapery- and foliate-cast base ending in paw feet. Also included are two matching, seven-light garnitures, the undersides of which are marked ‘Brevettato / N7087-877’ A clock key is included.
